Some people just know how to work a crowd. Like Verbs: http://verbs.bandcamp.com Taken at the LA Got Aloha event back in August. I’ve had the privilege of checking out more and more live shows and there’s really no greater feeling than getting lost in the sounds coming at you from onstage. You forget where you are, and of course with a little liquid courage, all the sound sensations are just amplified into one big blanket of yes-please. The Dragonfly Bar on Santa Monica Blvd has been my favorite spot so far in LA to catch live acts. Check it out on Monday nights if you haven’t already.

Amanda and Thira’s apartment in Brentwood reminds me so much of our Westwood one. Those were the days.

Cannot remember for the life of me the name of this emcee. But he was so wickedly fast. So fast with his flow. I’m on the hunt for his name, Ive got to know.

As luck would have it, I managed to break the last working point-and-shoot camera I had in my possession last Saturday. I have no recollection of how it happened or whether it made friends with the hard cement floor, but - it’s officially non-functional. These are a sample of the last memories I captured with it. Commence tears. It was worth less than a hundred bucks, but I enjoyed its lightweight self. Ciao, purple friend.

Sundays have been especially great these past few weeks because after church, its always been Ocean Time. Dock off Long Beach and spend the whole day & night out in the ocean. Hitching the boat back on its trailer, washing it down, and driving home is the inevitable process, but it’s so worth it when your feet finally hit the bed. You doze off and know Monday morning will seem like only ten minutes away, but after OT time, it doesn’t really matter.
